“The Iowa Project - 1996”

Mission Statement:

The intent of “The Iowa Project - 1996” is to track the progress of the Republican presidential candidates prior to the Iowa Caucuses in February of 1996. This will be accomplished by conducting a series of 6 surveys over the course of 1995 and January of 1996. Only individuals who indicate that they plan on attending the caucuses will be surveyed.

The samples for the series of surveys will be drawn from a database maintained by the state voter registrar, of all of the registered voters in the state of Iowa. Republican voters who had voted in the 1990 or the 1992 general election, or registered 1/93 or after and voted in the 6/6/94 Republican primary, all have an equal opportunity to participate in the project.

Data for the project will be collected through telephone interviews conducted by professional primary data collection firms.

All information derived from the above mentioned project is the sole property of P.S.I., an independent market research firm located in Alexandria, Virginia.
